On the dimensionality of users' attitudes toward on‐line retrieval systems—A replication?

Jeffrey Katzer and Patricia Moell

Journal of the American Society for Information Science, 1973, vol. 24, issue 4, 307-308

Abstract: There is some evidence which suggests that users' attitudes toward on‐line interactive retrieval systems may be multi‐dimensional (1). Because this earlier work was based upon a factor analysis of the data (a procedure with well‐known test‐retest difficulties), it was essential that a replication be attempted. To this end we repeated a previous study with a new population of SUPARS II (Syracuse University Psychological Abstracts Retrieval Service) users.
