Section V. Public/private information providers. Evolution of contractor‐supported health information activities

Molly A. Wolfe

Journal of the American Society for Information Science, 1987, vol. 38, issue 1, 71-75

Abstract: The Federal government has contracted a major portion of its information‐support activities in recent decades. As the emphasis of Federal programs changed during this time, the types of information support required to be responsive to these programs also evolved. An overview of these changes and their impact on the knowledge bases and dissemination methodologies is included. © 1987 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
