Abstract:
This article analyzes the way in which information transferred through different channels, i.e., mass media and interpersonal communication, influences farmers' decisions to adopt agricultural innovations. The sources through which farmers are first exposed to the new methods and/or practices are also analyzed here. Multiple regression and analysis of variance were the main statistical methods used in the analysis of the data which was collected in the Federal District of Brazil. © 1990 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
