Abstract:
Discussion lists in many disciplines have served as effective means of information dissemination over the Internet. CHMINF‐L is a listserv discussion list that has been in existence since May 1991. The history of its development and its place in today's chemical information environment are presented, along with some predictions for the future role of CHMINF‐L and other lists. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
