Journal of the American Society for Information Science, 1998, vol. 49, issue 13, 1177-1184

Abstract: We investigate the problem of fusing collections of documents provided by multiple information retrieval systems. A parameterized approach is suggested in which a parameter determines how the documents in the individual collections are interleaved to form a fused list of documents. We then suggest a mechanism for learning this parameter.
