Networking in Brussels: Nationality over a Glass of Wine

Semin Suvarierol

Journal of Common Market Studies, 2009, vol. 47, issue 2, 411-435

Abstract: This article provides an insight into the Brussels informal networking scene by providing empirical evidence on the networks of European Commission officials. It is argued that Commission officials tend to separate work and private contacts and that nationality rather forms a bonding factor for leisure purposes.
