Abstract:
The numerical size of a shift of drivers and their time limitations in carrying out their duties. In order to acquire the fullest employment of a shift of drivers, two important factors must be taken into account: 1. The customer must obtain his orders in time, as frequently as possible. 2. The chances to infringe the law, which determines the time a driver is allowed to work, must be known and small within reason. In this essay is indicated how it is possible, in a particular situation to find a way out. This resolution has been attained by scrutinizing the planning, which was applied in the past. This way out, however, is only possible under certain conditions.
