Abstract:
Waiting‐times of patients. In Philips Health Centre all patients were expected to be present at the beginning of the consulting hour. Consequently the waiting‐times of the patients were very long. Usually these patients work normally. A new system was worked out, whereby the patients appear at the centre with certain intervals. This interval was determined in such a way that the waitingtime of the patients is minimal subject to a waiting‐time which is acceptable for the physician. By that the avarage waiting‐time of the patients was decreased from 44 minutes to 11 minutes per patient.
