Abstract:
The numerical prediction of weather is a subject which is still in an early stage of rapid growth. Although it has already reached a degree of reliability, comparable with the conventional method of prediction, there still remain a number of problems to be resolved. These problems are partly of meteorological, partly of mathematical and partly of statistical nature. Some of them are discussed in this article.
