Abstract:
Summary (Sampling as a problem in industry). The elementary theory of sampling is discussed, especially that of small samples in massproduction. On the basis of some simple and very illustrative examples the various problems are considered and solved. It is shown that the manufacturer has to knout the quality of his products, their uniformity and how to maintain c.q. improve this uniformity. Statistical methods enable to control the production and give security as desired by the manufacturer and the customer as well.
