Maximum Likelihood Estimation of a Labour Demand System. An Application of a Model of Seemingly Unrelated Regression Equations with the Regression Errors Composed of Two Components

H. A. A. Verbon

Statistica Neerlandica, 1980, vol. 34, issue 1, 33-48

Abstract: Abstract In this paper maximum likelihood estimation is applied to a system of labour demand equations. In view of the data used for estimation, the model of seemingly unrelated regression equations containing errors composed of two components which has been treated by Avery [1] is applied. Avery's results are presented and slightly generalized.
