ON THE UNIMODALITY OF GENERALIZED POISSON DISTRIBUTION

Abstract: Abstract. The unimodality property is very important in many statistical problems. In this paper, it is shown that the generalized Poisson distribution is unimodal. Upper and lower bounds to the mode are given.
