Abstract: A test for comparing two small unknown probabilities, using samples of equal size, and its power. For testing the difference between two small proportions a slightly revised form of the sign test is used, giving a better approximation of the significance level α and a larger power. A table of critical values of the test and graphs of its powerfunction are given.
