Abstract: This paper deals with theoretical issues concerning sustainable development of Ukraine: objectives, goals, principles, strategic interests and national priorities, etc. The result of the study can be considered as creating a more accurate idea of the main threatening consequences for the environment and the decision on a necessity, by the interaction of society and nature, the transition to a new model of society development that somehow would take into account balance of economic and environmental interests
