Abstract: The data analysis of the State Land Cadastre records concerning the land resources distribution in Ukraine by the land owners and users of the «Forests and other wooded areas» accounting category has been performed. In particular, attention has been focused on protective shelterbelts and plantations which are recorded within the accounting category with no relation to the forestry purposes land use. The necessity of improving the accounting system of land use in Ukraine, with subsequent reflection of an environmental stabilizing destination objects square within the relevant lands.
