Abstract: This paper deals with issues over the social transformation in agricultural land tenure. Trends in changes of structure in the rural population, the index of land area per inhabitant have been investigated. Changes in agricultural system, in particular, the balance of the natural (environmental), economic, technological, its components have been noted. Issues over transformation of agricultural land use have been considered. The necessity of restructuring in agricultural enterprises to improve the efficiency and transition of activity to a qualitatively new level to enhance competitiveness in the global market has been identified.
