Abstract: We consider the legitimacy of the scientific revoution of terms Forestry and forest sector of Ukraine and established methodological differences between them. Defined areas of economic activity in which they are used (forest sector — area of outstanding products and funds, and forestry used during the functional and territorial structure of the enterprise).
