Abstract: This paper deals with current trends in the market of agricultural land. It was found that under global changes the processes of purchase and sale of the world land resources are actively begun, that is caused by several reasons: rapid industrial and agricultural development in many countries; population growth; uneven regional economic development; food challenges in developing countries. Major operations on purchase and sales of agricultural land have been investigated. Major companies involved in the purchase of land have been determined. Benefits and challenges of significant transactions over the agricultural land market have been defined.
