Abstract: This paper deals with results of the study status and efficiency of the country’s land resources utilization. The author analyzes component structure of the land fund, the features of its territorial differentiation. It was determined that the largest area in the structure of land fund make agricultural lands, and a significant level of plowing of this territory is confirmed. The size and structure of leasing operations related to land resources have been investigated. The author gives ways to optimize the utilization of the country’s land resources on prospect, depending on the influence of socio-economic and natural and geographical factors
