Geochemical properties of landscapes as a factor of agricultural lands ecological safety

Abstract: This paper deals with results over implementation of the geochemistry of landscapes at studying of environmental challenges in Ukraine. An importance of the principles of differentiation and coherence of landscapes to evaluate environmental safety of territories has been substantiated. The methodology for landscape-geochemical studies of agricultural land has been suggested. A three-tier system of quantitative parameters of geochemical state of agricultural landscapes for the environmental safety assessment of food chains on the content of trace elements has been given. A taxonomic classification of agricultural landscapes based on natural and technological processes in biogeochemical chains has been developed. Indicating links of food chains for the evaluation of environmental by safety functional types of agricultural land have been defined.
