Abstract: This paper deals with theoretical and methodological approaches to the assessment of the land resources management effectiveness in agriculture. This approach provides for the use of the integral index, which takes into account the system of ecological and economic parameters, which enable state and local authorities as well as economic actors to take adequate management decisions and ensure a balanced land use.
