Abstract:
This paper deals with the main causes of unbalanced land use for forestry purposes. The author analyzes European approach to defining the criteria of sustainable forestry development. The author substantiates main directions of transition to sustainable land use for forestry purposes. The author suggests the criteria and indicators of sustainable use of land for forestry purposes
