Abstract: In today’s environmental and economic discourse the concept of ecosystem services occupies an important place, and at the same time is sharply discussed. This paper deals with types of ecosystems that exist in the Danube Biosphere Reserve. Types of ecosystem services have been analyzed for each of ecosystems. The author has highlighted challenges over the definition of ecosystem services as an economic category as well as their classification attributes
