Abstract:
Taking into account the long-term results of researches of leading Ukrainian and foreign scientists of microbiologists, ecologists and soil scientists and their own experimental data, a wide range of biological activity indicators of agroecosystem ecosystems was analyzed, a system of biological soil indicators was developed and proposed, which is recommended to be determined and taken into account when conducting an environmental assessment of soil conditions and agrotechnologies. The proposed indicators cover the pre-cellular, population, and cenotic levels of organization of the biological system, have a close correlation with the actual and potential fertility of the soil and most objectively characterize its ecological state. Among the minimum set of recommended indicators, according to which it is possible to judge the direction of biological processes in soil and its ecological state, the total biomass of microorganisms, the coefficients of mineralization-immobilization, oligotrophy and humus accumulation were selected
