Abstract: In the article, based on the research results, the necessity of adaptation of the category «strategic planning» to the potential of agricultural land has been proved. The strategic directions of increasing the efficiency of the use of the potential of agricultural lands, which are grouped by spheres of influence on the potential, are grounded.
