Abstract: The changes in the legislation are considered, the analysis of the state and tendencies of development of organic production in Ukraine is made. A model for the development of organic farming has been formed, which allows us to combine the course of the stabilization and transition periods in time. It was proposed to achieve an extended reproduction of humus during the transitional period through planning and scientifically based crop rotation. It was proposed to automate the process of calculating humus balance in soil in conditions of organic land use by developing a calculator using software.
