Abstract:
The methodical approach to choosing the optimal direction of using degraded and unproductive agricultural lands in the context of balanced land use taking into account regional ecological and socio-economic peculiarities is substantiated. Three alternative ways of using degraded and unproductive agricultural land have been proposed: production, nature protection and recreation. Priority of alternatives has been assessed by environmental, economic, social and institutional criteria
