Abstract:
Economists have overlooked and misunderstood the impact of illegal financial flows -- "dirty money" -- on the global economy, according to Raymond Baker and Jennifer Nordin. Estimated at $1 trillion annually, dirty money renders economic analysis inaccurate and undermines development in poor countries.
