On Third-Party Intervention in Conflicts: An Economist's View

Abstract: The paper discusses some important issues in third-party intervention from the viewpoint of an economist. However, given the multi-disciplinary dimension of this topic, it is impossible to undertake such a discussion from a purely economic point of view. Therefore, the paper raises some issues that will be of interests to non-economists. It draws attention to some important research questions.
