Abstract:
The first section of this paper presents our general conclusions and recommendations. These conclusions are supported in Appendix I by a detailed, line-by-line analysis of the Stockpile Stewardship and Management budget. This appendix also includes our rationale for each of the suggested cuts. Appendix II calculates cuts to the DOD budget that would accompany the Stockpile Stewardship cuts we propose. Appendix III shows specific differences in the assumptions about Stockpile Stewardship made by the authors and by the DOE Laboratories. The views presented in this paper represent those of the authors and not those of any other organization, publication, or entity.
