Abstract: The article deals with the definition of basic terms in connection with international migration, especially migration caused by ecological causes. Ecological cataclysms causing international migration are caused by natural disasters, technogenic disasters and the long-term degradation of the environment by man. These phenomena lead to the emigration of the population from its original homes. Often, there is migration within the national state, but also international migration. Many international organizations and national governments are addressing this issue. Also, this issue is dealt with in many scientific articles that we present in the article. The main aim of the article is to analyze the basic concepts related to international ecological migration. We povide examples of national and international ecological migration.
