Abstract: The European Union's Common transport policy (CTP), one of the cornerstones of the integration process, contributes to the common movement of people, goods and services. In this article, we point out the events and political decisions that led to the creation of the CTP .We are based on the analysis of available documents and data. The aim is to define the CTP, to point out its historical roots and to outline its continuation over the next decades.
