Abstract: The article addresses the issue of European security as one of the important aspects of global security. Cooperation in Europe in this area is particularly important. The primary aim of the article is to highlight the current security situation in Europe and answer the question of whether by strengthening common security and defense policies, the EU will fulfill the goal of building a stronger Union that plays a collective role in the world and becomes a global player in global order.
