Abstract: The Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development is a program of the United Nations that is intended to lead to a more efficient use of resources on our planet and a better quality of life for its inhabitants. In 2015, 17 goals of the Agenda 2030 were adopted. Fulfilling these will improve unfavorable living conditions in the UN member states that have joined this Agenda. The governments of individual states pay attention to the development of the goals of the Agenda and take concrete measures for their implementation. Due to its importance for life on the planet, Agenda 2030 is not only a subject of practical social, economic and environmental policy. This issue has been developed by many theoreticians in scientific articles published in leading foreign scientific journals. In the Slovak and Czech literature, attention is also paid to this topic in the scientific sphere, although we must point out that the number of scientific publications on the given topic is limited by the number of experts. In our paper, we analyzed and evaluated selected scientific articles by foreign authors, elaborated on the issue of Agenda 2030. The articles present unique opinions on many sub-goals implemented in various countries of the world and the state of specific problems in selected parts of the world. The content of the articles is based on a deep scientific analysis of selected problems.
