Abstract:
The use of experimental economics in business is a recent development that remains little discussed in the literature.?Drawing from three examples, respectively from the agri-food, the automotive and the electricity industries, this article discusses the use of this method in the private sector, identifies its contributions and limits, and considers future prospects.?Despite the recognized limitations of this method, in first line parallelism, experimental economics has significant potential for the private sector, to better understand individual decisions and market mechanisms, by complementing traditional approaches or through multidisciplinary opening.
