Abstract:
The aim of this article is to understand how an expert behaves in an emergency situation. As theoretical framework, we used the naturalistic decision making approach. In emergency situation, our results reveal a higher percentage of leaders (decision makers that based their decision upon internal information) rather than followers (those who based their decisions upon external information). We argue that new decisions can emerged based upon the hybridization of past experiences.
