Abstract: 1996 expandierte das reale BIP Dänemarks um 2%, während die Arbeitslosenquote auf 8,8% sank. Ab 1999 dürfte Dänemark die Kriterien der EU weitgehend erfüllen. Ob es tatsächlich beitritt, hängt aber vom Ausgang eines Referendums ab.
