Abstract: Deutschland muss technologische Innovationen hervorbringen, um Wachstum der Wirtschaft und Wohlstand der Gesellschaft zu ermöglichen. Das Land hat durch inkrementelle aber auch disruptive Innovationen sein Ansehen begründet. Die gründergetriebene Biotechnologie-Industrie mit einer Forschungsintensität von über 30% hat das Potenzial, eine hohe Wertschöpfung in Deutschland zu erzeugen. Damit dies gelingen kann, müssen die Rahmenbedingungen angepasst werden.
