Abstract: In this commentary, I reflect on how digital communication technology and products are both an opportunity and a threat to the inclusion of disabled people. Drawing on my personal and professional experiences with research and user‐led empowerment projects, I argue that a life course intersectional approach, together with early involvement of disabled people in technology and product development, may prevent accessibility conflicts and further participation and inclusion.
