Professional standards as a factor of adaptation of human resources to the industry 4.0: approaches to development and implementation

Abstract: The aim of the work is to study approaches to the development and implementation of professional standards in order to improve the adaptability of human resources to the Industry 4.0. The article examines the possibilities and problems of qualitative modernization of vocational education based on formation of the national system of qualifications with the use of professional standards. The methodology of development of professional standards is investigated, and recommendations on improvement of this process with the use of competence-based approach are given. The main directions of policy at the macro and micro levels for the development of professional standards that meet the requirements of the labor market of the new industry are determined.
