Abstract: On page 556 of the article by Htun and Weldon (2012) it is stated that, “Before Vienna [the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights], mainstream human rights organizations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International did not treat rape and domestic violence as core issues of human rights. (These organizations now have women's rights projects.)”
