Abstract: In this issue we start with three articles that deal largely with the effects of identity on political behavior and immigration. The lead article addresses the impact of religion on attitudes vis-à-vis immigrants, and examines the seemingly paradoxical effect of religiosity on attitudes about immigration. The second article addresses how religious extremism affects terrorist activities. The third piece in this issue examines the argument that the promotion of immigration by the West may be used to alleviate global poverty.
