British Journal of Political Science, 1972, vol. 2, issue 2, 244-251
Abstract:

Writers who have found it useful in explanation include McKenzie and Silver and Nordlinger. Writers who have attacked it include Parkin and Kavanagh. A somewhat intermediate position is taken by Jessop.
