Perspectives in Particle Physics after the Discovery of the Higgs Boson

Abstract: Many implications of the discovery of the Higgs boson are discussed, together with a short overview of the new challenges in particle physics. The paper also presents a non-exhaustive review of the current plans in the quest for physics beyond the Standard Model at high-energy accelerators.
