Abstract: The report of the Director-General, Dr. Vittorino Veronese, on the activities of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1958 wad divided into the usual three parts, namely: relations with member states and international organizations: execution of the program; and administrative services. Under the first heading, the Director-General reported that Albania, Ghana, and the Federation of Malaya had joined the organization during 1958, thereby bringing the total number of members to 81. Moreover, Kuwait, The West Indies Federation, and the Trust Territory of Somaliland were admitted as associate members. Singapore was also admitted as an associate member, to become effective on December 31, 1959.
