Abstract: The International Coffee Study Group, a two-year-old body of the 33 producing and consuming nations, met in Washington during the week of February 9, 1960, for the purpose of establishing itself on a more permanent basis and opening its study of production and consumption problems. It elected as president Mr. Thomas G. Mann, United States Assistant Secretary of State for economic affairs, and as vice-president Mr. Manuel G. Escalante, Costa Rican ambassador to the United States.
