Abstract:
During the spring of 1954, the Soviet Union, the Byelorussian SSR, and the Ukrainian SSR signed the constitution of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization; Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia, who had withdrawn from UNESCO in December 1952, resumed their memberships in the organization.
