Abstract: The first part of the 18th session of the Economic and Social Council was held in Geneva from June 29 through August 6, 1954; Mr. Juan Cooke (Argentina) continued as President of the Council. Although the Council set no date for the reconvening of the session, certain decisions approved during this meeting indicated that it would reconvene before December 1, 1954.
