STATE AND PROSPECTS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF LOGISTICS SECTOR CONCENTRATION IN BULGARIA

Donka Zhelyazkova

Economics 21, 2013, issue 1, 9

Abstract: Logistics sector concentration is viewed theoretically by deducing key characteristics that can be identified as essential in describing modern centres of logistics functions such as: location, size of areas, type of areas, technical specification, additional areas, infrastructure and services. Indicators for assessing the state and level of logistics sector concentration are systematized through applying the grouping and averaging methods. On this basis, a study of the logistics sector concentration in Bulgaria is conducted and some prospects and opportunities for development are formulated.
