Abstract:
South-East Region has a significant economic potential, being a traditional agricultural area, concentrating industrial units well-known in Romania and abroad and having the most important national tourist resources. The paper tries to reveal and explain the evolution of the main labor force indicators (the activity rate of labor resources, the employment rate, the unemployment rate, the share of human resources on economic sectors, the net average salaries) over three key moments: 1998-the year when development regions in Romania were created, 2007-the year when Romania acceded to EU and 2014-the last year for which we have statistics.
